It is an honour to live and work on Treaty 6 territory: the traditional territory of many Indigenous Nations including the Cree, Saulteaux (Ojibway/Anishinaabe), Blackfoot (including Piegan, Blood, Siksika), Métis, Dene Nakoda, Nakota Sioux, Iroquois, and other nations I am still learning of. I’ve lived on Treaty 6 my entire life, growing up in sâskwatôn / ᓵᐢᑲᐧᑑᐣ or Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, and then moving to Amiskwaciwâskahikan / ᐊᒥᐢᑲᐧᒋᐋᐧᐢᑲᐦᐃᑲᐣ or Edmonton, Alberta. I am grateful to the original caretakers of this land for making a treaty of friendship with my Settler ancestors. In the spirit of truth and reconciliation I want to uphold that treaty of peace and friendship, and I believe that must include the reclamation of this land to its original Indigenous caretakers. #LandBack
